Plowshares offers all employees paid time off for the following 10 holidays:
Day after Thanksgiving
New Years Day
Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Plowshares is open most holidays and employees are often required to work unless their supervisor grants them holiday time off. If an employee is required to work on a paid scheduled holiday, they receive time and a half pay for the hours worked and regular pay for the balance of their normally scheduled word day.
Paid Vacation/Sick Time
Plowshares offers all regular full-time and part-time employees who have completed 90 days employment. Vacation accrual rates are based on the number of hours worked per week and length of service.
All Plowshares employees begin to accrue sick time from their first day of employment at 1 hour per 30 worked. Employees may begin to use sick time after 90 days of employment.
Plowshares offers full time employees a selection of medical coverage. Employees are eligible the first day of the month following the completion of 90-days after hiring. Plowshares pays the premium for the Blue Cross Silver Plan and employees may opt a higher level and pay the difference.
Plowshares provides eligible employees a path to building their retirement funds. Employees are eligible after 2 consecutive years of employment and at least $5,000 in earnings. Monthly contributions are deducted from your paycheck and deposited into a suitable investment of your choice. Employee contributions are deducted on a pre-tax basis and Plowshares will match employee contributions up to 3% of the employee's annual gross income.
Plowshares provides a Foodshare program to all employees. Excess food from the pantry and coolers is made available to staff on a daily basis. Plowshares supervisors will notify staff about food availability.
